This easy crock pot chicken and stuffing recipe is very juicy chicken and savory stuffing that is boiled together in a crock pot with your favorite vegetables for an easy and convenient dish that the family will love!
It is made with only a few simple ingredients and served with sides of green beans.
Ingredient
- 1 teaspoon of fresh parsley
- 2 cups of green beans, fresh or frozen
- 1 cup baby carrots
- 4 boneless, salted and seasoned chicken breast without skin if desired.
- 10.5 ounces. Chicken cream soup
- 8 ounces of sour cream, (equivalent to 1 glass)
- 6 ounces of the filling in the box
- ¾ cup of chicken stock
Additional Optional Fields:
- 2 teaspoons of dried rosemary
- 1/4 cup of dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup onion, diced
- 1/2 cup celery, diced
- 1/2 cup of crushed sausage, (cooked or raw)
Instructions
- Place the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot and sprinkle with salt and pepper if desired.
- In a large bowl, mix the soup, sour cream, stuffing, and * half * broth. Line the filling on top of the chicken.
- To separate vegetables from filling, place the aluminum layer on top of the filling, then place the vegetables on aluminum foil. Pin a hole in the bottom of the paper so that moisture circulates instead of collecting at the top of the paper. You can also coat the vegetables just above the filling if you want.
- Cook high for 4 hours, or low for 6-7.
- Before eating, check the contents. If you prefer additional moisture, add the remaining chicken stock, stir, and heat for an additional 10 minutes.
- Garnish chicken with parsley if desired!
