Having a smoothie for breakfast kind of gets a lot of that healthy living stuff out of the way first thing and you don’t have to keep reminding yourself of those all-important 5 a day for the next 18 hours.

Beetroot and apple smoothie makes the perfect breakfast

Ingredients
                   1 cooked beetroot peeled and chopped
                   1 carrot peeled and chopped
                   1 apple cored and chopped
                   Handful chopped Kale
                   1 tsp flax seeds
                   1 tsp mixed seeds
                   ½ tsp fresh grated ginger or ¼ tsp powdered
                   ½ tsp turmeric
                   1 tsp gogi berries
                   1 tsp coconut oil
                   ½ cup almond milk

Instructions
Whizz everything up in your food processor or blender reserving some of the berries and seeds to sprinkle on top.
